National Investigative Agency (NIA) has today filed a charge sheet against Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Bahadur Ali alleging that he has conspired to do terrorist attacks in Delhi, other major cities of Jammu and Kashmir and including border districts of Poonch and Udhampur.
The charge sheet against Bahadur Ali has been filed under various provisions that include IPC, UAPA, and sections of Explosives Act, Explosive Substances Act, Arms Act, Foreigners Act and the Indian Wireless Telegraphy Act.
He has also been accused of other cases like stone pelting and for conspiring to bring unrest in the Valley as a vengeance for the death of Burhan Wani.
The court sources revealed that, according to the charge sheet filed before Amar Nath, District Judge, Pakistan based LeT is the main reason behind the recent unrest in the Kashmir Valley.
The agency sources revealed that the Pakistan based LeT, since the summer of last year, has sent heavily armed terrorist into the Indian Territory with the sole motto of causing disturbance in the general public by mixing with them and to attack the police and security forces.
The charge sheet of the NIA filed against Ali has also claimed that he has conspired to organise terror attacks to weaken the security and sovereignty of India. Furthermore, the charge sheet also claims that the pocket diary of Ali also contains the names of their target towns in Jammu and Kashmir, apart from Delhi.
NIA's IG Alok Mittal said, “Bahadur Ali was given training in Pakistan,was given weapons,GPS devices through which he communicated with Pak handlers. It is the strong and clinching evidence on how LeT terrorist were sent across border to India.”
Minister of State (Prime Minister Office) Jitendra Singh questioning the Pakistan’s denial on the found evidences said that, “If Pakistan continues to be in denial mode on such evidences then ultimately it will harm them.”
