Amarinder Singh Pledged as CM and Navjot Singh Sidhu as Cabinet Minister of Punjab

CHANDIGARH:  On Thursday, Navjot Singh Sidhu, the proud cricketer turned politician had finally administered the oath of office as the Cabinet Minister of Punjab. He was the 2nd person to be sworn in the cabinet list along with the other 9 ministers.

Amarinder Singh who had been selected as Punjab’s New Chief Minister had taken his pledge in Punjab Raj Bhavan today.  With this, the 77-year-old politician, Amarinder Singh will begin his 2nd term as CM of  Chandigarh.

Navjot  Sidhu stated that he has sacrificed his life for the betterment of Punjab. Just before the assembly elections in Chandigarh, Sidhu had actually claimed for the post of the Deputy CM.

Captain  Amarinder Singh had made it clear that it was Rahul Gandhi who alone had the right to make a decide on Sidhu’s role. However, the idea of making Sidhu as the adjutant CM was disapproved by many of the senior congress leaders.
