Dangal goes as tax-free in Madhya Pradesh

Aamir Khan’s Dangal which has turned to be a smash hit at the box-office keeps inspiring not only common people even political leaders. Now, the latest update is that Dangal will be going as a tax-free in Madhya Pradesh and state government has officially announced. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today made the twin announcements after watching the movie which has been made on the life of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat.
He tweeted that “To promote wrestling an academy will be set up in Madhya Pradesh.” This is not the first for films to have tax exemption in the state. Earlier it had announced tax-free for films like Jai Gangaajal, Neerja, and Mardaani.
Another interesting aspect is that Dangal which has been released on 23rd December 2016 has amassed Rs 376.14 crore. Taran has posted on social media about collections: “#Dangal crosses ? 375 cr mark… Creates HISTORY… [Week 5] Fri 1.19 cr. Total: ? 376.14 cr. India biz. ATBB.”
Nitesh Tiwari has helmed this project on the life of a wrestler and Coach Mahavir Singh Phogat. This movie has received positive reviews from both fans and film critics. Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Girish Kulkarni, Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar have played I prominent roles in this sports drama.
