The Haryana Excise and Taxation department is closely monitoring the organisers and event managers and hosts of parties in Gurgaon. Hefty fine will be tagged on those who lacks proper permits and legal licences.
Planning to party in Gurgaon without possessing a licence can be disastrous for the party birds who may end up a Chalan-penalty and a severe punishment.
Mr. Pratap Singh the assistant excise and taxation official in the department said that they have deployed four teams to keep a watch on violations in the evening pubs, farmhouses, motels, and late nightclubs last week.
Officials the department will soon levy a heavy hefty fine on them.
The penalty would also depend on the theme and the circumstances under which the party was organised.
The taxation panel has given special instructions to visit all the refectories and pubs to keep a gauge on the quality of liquor being served and sold.
Harbours like Galleria Shopping complex, Vyapar Kendra, Sector-29 etc have more than 50 resto-bars that will come under the lens of the department.
The MG road, Cyber Hub, Old City, Sohna Road, Golf Course Road to Sector 56, Palam Vihar to Sector 5 that houses many night clubs is kept on the radar.
Gurgaon city is mushroomed with more than 270 commercial spaces, luxurious licensed bars and 160 late nightclubs. Three to five star hotels chains also have bar licenses.
As yet the taxation department has issued 86 challans to night clubs for registering various violations and crimes all this year.
