Idea Cellular to Offer Unlimited 3G/4G Data at Rs 22 per Hour

NEW DELHI: Idea Cellular, India’s third-largest mobile internet operating company is on its way to launch its inaugural scheme that offers unlimited data at a fixed economical price.
The Telecom sources had conveyed about the Idea Cellular Company that is following marketing gimmicks of Vodafone who had introduced hourly voice and data packs to its customers.
Idea Cellular through its SMS campaign had rushed millions of text messages to its consumers informing them about the pack that would offer unlimited 3G/4G data pack for Rs 22 per hour.
One of the Twitter users had posted a screenshot of Idea’s website which showed the pack priced at Rs 14 for 3G/4G data for an hour.
There is the probability that Airtel too might join the race as like Vodafone, Idea Cellular and Reliance Jio to dish out a similar offer this season.
Reliance Jio has sought extra time span till December 29 to respond to telecom regulator TRAI's query on the appendage of its free voice and data plan.
TRAI was in the process of examining Jio's new promotional offer. It had said that preliminary examination of the new offer filed illustrated that the quantum of data in the new offer seemed to be an adjunct of the old promotional offer beyond 90 official days.
TRAI had communicated with Jio on December 20 to explain as to why the 'Happy New Year offer' should not be taken as a violation of the regulatory rules.
TRAI ordered Jio to give an estimated month-wise projection of the subscribers that are speculated to be included added until March 31, 2017.
