Madhur Bhandarkar’s forthcoming movie Indu Sarkar first look poster has been out and it looks promising. This movie is based on the Emergency, a 21-month long period from 1975 to 1977 when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi unilaterally had a state of emergency announced all over India.

Kirti Kulhari of Pink fame is seen playing a prominent role in this movie while Neil Nitin Mukesh will be playing the role of Sanjay Gandhi according to sources.

Kirti plays the role of a poetess who has a speech problem. Speaking about the movie and role, she said that the actor had said the script of the Indu Sarkar is a class apart.

A few days back, the director met Subramanian Swamy and exchanged notes on Emergency. Since the movie has been titled as Indu, it does not refer to late PM, Indira Gandhi. Anu Malik and Bappi Lahiri are rendering tunes and background score of the movie.

The makers are planning to shoot the film in Delhi, Mumbai, and Pune. It is planned to wrap up entire shooting part in 40 days of time and shooting has been commenced recently.
