The senior selection committee headed by MSK Prasad will have to take the toughest decision whether MS Dhoni is still the right option to lead India in white-ball cricket or Virat Kohli to be chosen to take over in ODIs and T20Is too.

The Indian squad has applauded magnificently over Kohli's leadership since two years in the Test arena.

The fact remains unshakable that Kohli is the stalwart batsman and an ultimate skipper.

Kohli has been enhancing his credentials as an athlete who should be in charge of proceedings in ODIs.

The decision to continue with Dhoni or make amendments remains on the top mandate.

The picture will be clear by the end of the Champions Trophy in England next summer season.

At that time of the season, the selectors will sit down and study whether Dhoni should continue leading until the 2019 World Cup or not.

Aakash Chopra, the leading commentator has the remote control in his hands to tracks the fortunes of the Indian team.

A lot of Tests are being played these days which is making it difficult for MS to be a part of the team for long periods. No matter what the calibre of a player is it gets difficult to come back and perform on the pitch Chopra explained.

As the ODIs will be ruling the roost that what is making Dhoni's task even more difficult in the near future.
