Jio Impact : BSNL To Offer Free Data And Unlimited Video Calling

BSNL Follows Reliance Jio In Offer

BSNL too have entered the free data and unlimited video calling market competing with its private opponents like Reliance Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone.
In a press release, the company said, “BSNL has introduced unlimited local and STD BSNL to BSNL with 300MB data for only Rs. 99 with validity of 28 days for its prepaid mobile customers.”
This new offer at this plan rate will be applicable in limited cities that include Kolkata TD, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Gujrat, MP, Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra & Rajasthan for within network calls. While in the other cities, the plan rate for the same offer would range from Rs. 119 to 149.
The statement of the company also said that, “BSNL has also introduced new combo STV with Unlimited local and STD BSNL to any network with 1GB data for only Rs 339 with validity of 28 days on pan-India basis.”
This plan comes in addition to the already existing offer of BSNL, that is, unlimited 3G service for Rs. 1099 with 30 day validity.
R K Mittal, Director for Consumer Mobility, BSNL, said in a statement, “Tariff offered by BSNL are most competitive and is committed to provide affordable and excellent services to our esteemed customers.”
Earlier in this month, the other private players in the market like Bharti Airtel and Idea Cellular also attempted to match their rival Reliance Jio offering of free 4G service two similar schemes that offer free calls and limited mobile Internet use priced at a range of Rs. 150 and Rs. 350 with 28 days validity.
The other telecom operator, Vodafone also followed the suit with a similar offer. As of now, the Reliance Jio offering of free 4G mobile service including calls and data will be available toll March 31. And within just 83 days of launching this service, the company has grabbed 52 million customers in the market.
