J-K: Lashkar-e-Taiba militant Abu Bakr killed

Today, security forces have conducted firing in Srigufwara area of Anantnag district, killed a suspected militant in the separate encounter.

 According to sources, the suspect terrorist linked to the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT has been killed in an encounter with security forces in Sopore area of Jammu and Kashmir.

LeT commander Abu Bakr has been killed in a six-hour-long firing at the residential building where he was hiding.

Sources said that firing was ended security forces are combing the area to find other terrorists.

The police official said, “Earlier in the day, security forces have killed a terrorist in s separate encounter in Anantnag district. “ 

He further said that army personnel retaliated, triggering a gunbattle.

The militant was identified as Basit Ahmad Dar who was killed in the encounter. Dar had recently Hizbul Mujahideen militant outfit.
