MUMBAI: Devendra Fadnavis, the tech savvy Chief Minister of Maharashtra has committed that as many as 1,200 Wi-Fi Hotspots will be set to go live in Mumbai Phase 1 by May 1.

Mumbai Wifi is India’s and simultaneously the world’s largest Public WiFi service network.

The CM of Maharashtra had added that in the passage of time the team will be monitoring on the progress of the connectivity & speed.

Cybernation is one of the crucial steps taken by the Maharashtra government for the digital empowerment of the state.  

Fadnavis decoded that the trial period of the WiFi Hotspots is marked from 2nd to 8th January. There would be more than 23000 users across the city signing in & downloading upto 2 TB of data.
