Naxal Attack in Sukma Leaves 25 CRPF Soldiers

A massive Maoists guerrillas ambushed a team of the Central Reserve Police Force, CRPF in Chhattisgarh's Sukma region on Monday killing nearly 25 soldiers and critically injured 6 armed men. This group had used rockets, launchers, AK-47s, grenades and crude bombs as reported by the only survivor Sher Mohammad. He further mentioned that 300 black attired mobs had assaulted the CRPF fighters who were busy providing security cover to road construction activity in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh on Monday afternoon, 2 km from their camp.

A senior police officer mentioned that this surprise pounce was a well-planned one as the Maoist's troop had initially sent the locals to establish the exact position of the CRPF. Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that he will pay his due homage to the families of the deceased warriors massacred in the state capital yesterday.
