Gaming PC Builder Razer has unveiled a gaming laptop, at the CES tech show in Las Vegas. The laptop is specially designed with three 4k resolution screens called Project Valerie, is going to be the world’s first portable laptop of its kind.
All the three screens are built in 17 inches size, two of which slide out from the central screen, through an automatic mechanism. One analyst lauded the design, as gamers were splashing out on high-end laptops. The thickness of the product increases to 1.5 inch when the screens are folded and closed. Razer said this was comparable to many high-end gaming laptops, which tend to be thicker than home and office devices.
A company spokesman reported “we thought this was crazy, can we do this? And the answer was yeah. We’re crazy enough. We can do it”
Project Valarie is still a prototype and Razer is not certain about the release date of the product. He says “Although it’s unusual, it doesn’t surprise me, it is something people will buy and I think it will sell” He firmly said that there is a definite increase in gaming enthusiasts who seek for portable high-end specs, particularly the gamers who travel to e-sports tournaments, those are the potential targets the company is looking for.
But Mr. Wagstaff added that industry data he reviewed has suggested widening interest emerging from architectural designs as well, in such machines. He added “That is interesting, that is traditionally the territory of Apple’s products”
Along with project Valarie, other computer makers like Acer exhibited Predator 21X and Consumer electronics giant Samsung unveiled its first gaming laptop- Samsung Notebook Odyssey.
