Royal Sundaram Target High With Its New Launch Of Home Insurance

Royal Sundaram General Insurance today announced the launch of a new home insurance policy, ‘Gruh Suraksha’, the offerings of which would benefit a wide range of the customer base in the home segment.
In a statement, the company said, the new home insurance policy called Gruh Suraksha is a policy that can be tailored according to the needs of a diverse customer segments. The customers who are earning an income in the range of Rs. 5 lakh to more than a crore are eligible to avail this home insurance policy.
The benefits of this new insurance policy are not limited to the insurance of the building owned, but also offer unique benefits such as insurance of loss of rent, and also provisions for rent for alternate accommodation, the company said in the statement.
Any damages to the building or house due to factors such as terrorism, man-made calamities, natural disasters, and accidental damages such as bursting of pipes, water tanks and leakage from automatic sprinklers are also covered under this new insurance policy, the company said.
In addition to these benefits, the policy further facilitates coverage of up to Rs. 50 lakhs for any damage to the contents of the household such as paintings, digital devices, appliances and jewellery. Moreover, according to the customer’s needs, the customer can choose to avail additional coverage on the employee compensation, personal accident, baggage insurance and external equipment.
Nikhil Apte, the chief product officer of the company said that the new insurance policy is ideal for those customers that require a comprehensive home insurance for all their home needs. He also added that the insurance policy offers five different plans to choose from for the different customer segments.
“This product is ideally suitable for customers who are seeking comprehensive home insurance. It offers five plans including Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond catering to all segments from affordable housing category,” Royal Sundaram General Insurance chief product officer Nikhil Apte said.
