62nd Jio Filmfare Awards 2017 To Be Host By Sharukh And Karan

While the event of Jio Filmfare Awards 2017 is the 62nd time being held, it is the event that recognises and honours the best talent in the Bollywood. This time the event is being hosted by Bollywood superstar Sharukh Khan and famous filmmaker Karan Johar.

The award ceremony of the Filmfare will be held on 24 January 2017, at the NSCI Dome in Worli. The details of the award function were presented at the press conference at the office by the Filmfare editor Jitesh Pillai, Karan and the actress Alia Bhatt.

It is also said that the ceremony will also include Udta Punjab and Dear Zindagi actress as one of the star performers of the night.

Nita Ambani of Reliance Foundation said about the awarding ceremony that, “I’m delighted that Filmfare and Jio have partnered with each other. Our partnership is truly a winning combination. Powered by Jio, the Filmfare Awards – current and past – will be showcased to our audiences in a variety of unique ways across our platforms.”

Speaking about the Filmfare awards ceremonial event, it has also been revealed that this time in 62nd event, a new digital segment called Jio Filmfare Short Film awards will also be launched.

Talking about the digital segment, Karan said that, “As a filmmaker, the transition from celluloid to digital has been sometimes an emotional one because we grew up on celluloid and definitely every frame that is painted on celluloid is special to me, but digital is the order of the day.”

At the press conference, Alia Bhatt was asked to reveal what her best movie was according to here interests, and which movies are the most deserving movies of the year. To that, she immediately responded saying, “Kapoor & Sons, Neerja and Dangal.”
