Tata Motors to hike prices from January 1 by up to Rs 25,000

The Indian Home-bound automobile manufacturer and giant Tata Motors on Monday has announced about the price hike index of its passenger vehicle business models comprising of Nano, hatchback Tiago and crossover vehicle Aria from Rs 5,000 up to Rs 25,000.

In order to incur the increased input costs, Tata Motors President for Mayank Pareek has contemplations for escalating the price structures exclusively for its passenger vehicles models effective from January 1, 2017.

Due to the upshot rise in the cost of raw material commodities like steel alloys, aluminium, copper and rubber Tata Motors is forced to trek prices of its regular and novelty cars.

The company is driving dexterous demand for its passenger cars with month-on-month growth especially on its recently-launched Tiago.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) had recently announced about the price lift up to 3 per cent on its cars so as to meet the overhead expenses at the factory level.
