WASHINGTON: The Department of Homeland Security, DHS is planning to separate the women and children illegally crossing the Mexican-American borderline. However, DHS officials had not made any fast decision on this matter as yet. Until then, the U.S. government is keeping parents in custody until it gets the hearing orders from the asylum.
Similarly, Children would be put into the protective custody under the guardianship of the Department of Health and Human Services.
President Donald Trump has coined the "catch and release," concept for the migrants crossing the Mexican Border illegally. Mexican Immigrants in the Central America are being interrogated by the US patrol agents during their cross outs.
More than 50,000 children and guardians have been apprehended amides October 1, 2016, and January 31, 2017. There are legal considerations to this issue as the policy would make the DHS detain parents while complying with the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in favor of the immigrant children to be released from detention at the earliest.
The Immigrant rights activists had claimed about the Central America's violent and impoverished policies.
