With an unbeatable score alongside his batting partner and former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh has proved his batting strength in the 2nd ODI in Cuttack being played against England on Wednesday.
The duo who came onto the pitch after India losing three leading batsmen in line for a very low score, have showed their real true batting personalities to the England bowlers and took the score of India to a new heights.
With the opening batsmen losing their stance early, India is struggling on the scoreboard with a score of 25 runs for 3 wickets after 4.4 overs and losing as well the Indian skipper and in-form Virat Koli.
Yuvraj Singh who made an unbeatable 150 runs said to the media that, “Self-confidence is always there when you have the backing of the team and captain. I think Virat has showed a lot of trust in me and it was very important for me that people in the dressing room trust me.”
Talking about his batting partner M S Dhoni and his experiences with his during the batting, Yuvi told media that, “Nothing much. We two were the most experienced players in the team. He realised that I was getting boundaries. He was just there rotating the strike and our first target to make a 25 runs together then go for a 50 partnership. After that we wanted to take it further to 100. I think once that happened, we were both set.”
He further told about their partnership and relationship that, “We always have been batting together since he started his career. Obviously, I started much earlier. Mahi and I have played a lot of games for India. The camaraderie is always there. I think we have a lot of understanding when we bat together. Running between the wickets is always good. I hope it works in the future as well.”
